I almost didn’t take part in this weeks Gallery as I didn’t think I could find a picture that summed up what being a mother means to me, but I really didn’t want to miss this one so I picked this photo, the very first picture that was taken of C, just seconds old.
I didn’t understand what being a mother meant in this photo, and a year on I’m still just at the beginning of my journey but I know how I felt when this picture was taken. Proud. In love. Scared. Happy. Relieved. A barrage of emotions all in just a split second. The beginning of Motherhood.
